The Story
Hi, I’m Henrik Asklöf, a 26-year-old athlete from Finland.
When I decided to return to elite sport last fall after a 5-year break, it was a jump into the unknown.
I wasn’t chasing a finish line or a result. I was chasing the feeling of being an athlete again. I wanted to find out what would happen if I committed fully, trained consistently, and documented the entire process without knowing where it would lead.
That’s how Chasing 27 was born.
At first, the name was vague. It represented a direction rather than a destination. Now 2027 became a North Star, a point on the horizon that encouraged me to keep moving forward.
Then the destination became clear.
The 2027 World Ski Orienteering Championships in Lillehammer, Norway.
Today, Chasing 27 is no longer just an experiment. It is a long-term documentary project following every week of preparation toward that championship. The training sessions, competitions, setbacks, and lessons are shared as they happen, week by week.
The goal is simple:
To discover what I’m truly capable of.
And to share that journey, one week at a time.
Follow the Journey
Chasing 27 is documented in real time through weekly YouTube videos.
Every episode follows a single week, from Monday to Sunday, and is shared as it happened.
A new Chasing 27 vlog is published every Wednesday.
